Our verdict
The Saros 10R suits people who want less hands-on dust handling, since the dock is self-emptying, and hard floors where one pass of vacuuming and mopping is wanted. Its 150-minute charge time ranks in the top quarter of robot models in our catalogue. One gap to weigh: Roborock's US page gives no suction number, and published sources disagree on it.

At 150 minutes for a full charge, the Roborock Saros 10R ranks in the top quarter of robot models in our catalogue for charge time, while its 180-minute maximum runtime is simply typical there. That pairing defines this robot vacuum and mop, along with a 3.14 in (79.8 mm) body and a Multifunctional Dock 4.0 that empties the bin and washes the mops with 176°F (80°C) water. The details below come from manufacturer and published review data, not our own testing.

We left out a suction figure on purpose. Roborock's US page names HyperForce suction without a number, and published sources disagree: one review says up to 20,000 Pa, European pages say 19,000 Pa. Dust bin capacity is not published on the US page either, so we do not quote it.
Quick to recharge, typical on runtime
The 150-minute charge ranks in the top quarter of robot vacuums in our catalogue by charge time, where the median is 240 minutes. Set against the 180-minute maximum runtime, that works out to 1.2 minutes of runtime per minute of charging. The runtime itself equals the catalogue median of 180 minutes, so it is neither a strength nor a drawback. Runtime also depends on suction mode and floor type: a BGR reviewer reported about 57% battery left after roughly 80 minutes of vacuuming and mopping.
The closest same-brand comparison in our catalogue is the Saros 20 Flow. It weighs 11.5 lb (5.2 kg) against 9.04 lb (4.1 kg) for the Saros 10R, so the 10R is the lighter robot to carry up stairs. The catalogue also records 301 minutes of maximum runtime for the Flow against 180 for the 10R, though Roborock's US pages do not publish that Flow figure, so treat it as indicative. The Saros Z70 page has the specifications of another Roborock robot and mop. If long runs matter, browse the wider roborock vacuum range before settling.
Another Roborock robot and mop is covered on the Roborock Qrevo Edge page, and two other Saros models are laid out in a Saros Sonic comparison.
What the Multifunctional Dock 4.0 does and still asks of you
The 10-in-1 dock is the other half of the product. Roborock lists automatic mop mount removal and 80°C hot-water mop washing, and the dock empties the robot into a disposable dust bag, which is why the robot counts as self-emptying. The same BGR review describes warm-water refilling, heated-air mop drying and automatic detergent dispensing.
Upkeep is reduced, not removed. The dust bag is disposable and needs replacing, the washable filter should be rinsed periodically, and the clean and dirty water tanks need refilling and emptying. The BGR reviewer reported roughly four to six cleaning runs before the tanks needed attention, in that reviewer's home and settings. The dock also has a larger footprint than a basic charging base, so check the space beside an outlet.
Low body, lifting chassis and brushes
Height and lifting. At 3.14 in tall, the robot is meant to reach under more furniture than a typical puck-shaped model. The AdaptiLift chassis raises the body 10 mm to clear obstacles, and the spinning mops lift 17 mm, which is how the robot keeps wet mops off carpet.
Brushes. The DuoDivide main brush is designed to cut hair tangles, and the FlexiArm riser side brush extends toward edges. Roborock's tangle claims come from the manufacturer, not independent testing, so pet owners should still plan to check the brush now and then.
Navigation. StarSight 2.0 maps your home and plans routes, and DirTect dirt detection is meant to send the robot back over areas that look dirty. BGR noted that obstacle recognition improved after the first runs and that colored cables were identified more reliably than black ones.
Drawbacks and open questions
- Runtime ceiling. The 180-minute maximum is typical for the catalogue, but the Saros 20 Flow is recorded at 301 minutes, so large homes may want a longer-running sibling.
- Warranty. Roborock's US store lists a 1-year limited warranty with optional extended coverage. Read the current terms before purchase.
- Wi-Fi. It connects on 2.4 GHz only, with no 5 GHz support. Routers that merge both bands can complicate setup.
- Cables. One review reported the robot sucking up and tangling cables early on until a no-go zone was added in the app. Clear cords or set restricted zones.
- Tank refills. The same review found the tanks needed attention more often than on a competing Roborock model.
- Unconfirmed specs. Suction, dust bin size and robot length and width are not confirmed on the US page, so check the manufacturer listing for current figures.
Saros 10R price: checking the listing before you buy
Before comparing any Saros 10R price, match the model number. The US spec is RR-Saros10R5-M2, and a listing should name it or at least clearly say Saros 10R, since the Saros 20 Flow is a different robot with different dock features. Look for refurbished wording too: a refurbished unit may carry different terms from a new one.
The robot has a 6,400 mAh lithium-ion battery included in the box, so check the written warranty terms for what is covered, and whether the battery is treated differently from the rest of the robot. Roborock's US store lists a 1-year limited warranty with optional extended coverage.
On the live list, offers start from $899. Compare like for like: the same number, the same condition and the same coverage. If you want to buy the Roborock Saros 10R, tracked prices currently run $899 to $1,299.99, so compare every listing before you order.
Is the Roborock Saros 10R worth it for your home?
It makes the most sense if you have mixed flooring (carpet plus hardwood or tile), want mopping and emptying automated, and have room for a larger dock. Small apartments and pet households are common uses, and the low body helps most where furniture sits close to the floor.
It makes less sense if you want one long run to cover a large home, only vacuum bare floors occasionally, or run a router with no separate 2.4 GHz option. For those cases, compare simpler models on our robot vacuum listing. Whether the extra features justify the cost depends on the seller and date, so check the prices section below for what is tracked now. For another robot and mop, the P70 Pro Ultra page covers its specs and who it may suit.
Is the Roborock Saros 10R self-emptying?
Yes, the Saros 10R is self-emptying. Its Multifunctional Dock 4.0 empties the robot's dust bin into a disposable dust bag, so you replace the bag periodically instead of emptying the bin after every run. The same dock removes and washes the mops using 80°C (176°F) hot water. The dock still needs upkeep: the dust bag, the water tanks and the washable filter all need periodic attention, and the robot itself is listed at up to 180 minutes of runtime.
Does the Roborock Saros 10R work on 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No, the Saros 10R supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, with no 5 GHz support listed on Roborock's US product page. If your router combines both bands under one network name, you may need a separate 2.4 GHz network or to disable 5 GHz temporarily during app setup. The robot is controlled from a phone app, so a stable 2.4 GHz connection matters for scheduling, maps and no-go zones.
What warranty does the Roborock Saros 10R have?
Roborock's US store lists a 1-year limited warranty for the Saros 10R, with extended coverage available as an optional purchase. Terms can change and may differ by retailer, so confirm them on the seller's page before ordering. The robot has a 6,400 mAh lithium-ion battery included in the box, so check the written terms for what is covered, and whether the battery is treated differently from the rest of the robot.
