Our verdict
The Flow 2 has the largest battery of any robot in our catalogue (7.0 Ah) and suits people who want less hands-on dust handling, since its base station is self-emptying. Its 5.0 kg weight is weaker than most robots in our catalogue, and the dock is large, so look elsewhere if you need a light robot or have little storage space.

The Narwal Flow 2 carries the largest battery of any robot in our catalogue, 7.0 Ah, and pairs it with 31 kPa of rated suction and a rolling track mop that its base station washes and dries. It is a self-emptying robot vacuum and mop from Narwal, sold in white or black. The trade-off is weight: at 11.02 lb (5.0 kg) the robot is heavier than most. This page is based on Narwal's published specifications and third-party reviews, not our own testing.
Battery, suction and weight against other robots in our catalogue
Battery. The 7.0 Ah pack sits well above the 5.2 Ah catalogue median for robots, in the top tier. Narwal publishes cleaning times per area rather than one runtime, but Reviewed lists 190 minutes.
Suction. Rated sealed suction is 31 kPa, in the top quarter of our robots against a median of 20 kPa. It is a brand lab rating, and some sources cite 30,000 Pa instead of 31,000 Pa.
Weight. At 11.02 lb (5.0 kg) the robot ranks in the bottom quarter on weight (lower is better), against a median of 9.0 lb (4.1 kg). The same-brand Narwal Flow robot vacuum weighs 10.1 lb (4.6 kg) and is listed at 22 kPa suction and a 6.4 Ah battery, so the Flow 2 trades about 0.9 lb (0.4 kg) for more suction and battery. The Flow is a same-brand sibling, not a predecessor or successor.

Mop, carpet handling and navigation
The headline feature is FlowWash, a rolling track mop that the base station washes with hot water and then dries with warm air. Narwal's pages give inconsistent hot-water temperatures, so we do not quote one. Reviewed describes the heated washing as helping with sticky residue. As a mop combo, it suits hard floors where one pass of vacuuming and mopping is wanted.
For carpet, Narwal lists CarpetFocus sensors that detect carpet automatically and lift the mop. The robot also has dual 1080p AI cameras for obstacle avoidance. Narwal's pages do not say how well it copes with cables, socks or pet waste in a real home, and a spec sheet cannot tell you that.
An optional auto refill and drainage setup can connect the dock to a water supply and drain. Narwal says it needs DIY installation, a water supply and drain behind the wall, and an outlet near the dock. Without it, the dock uses a water tank.
Dust bag, filter and upkeep
Because the base station is self-emptying, the robot empties into a 2.5 L disposable dust bag. Narwal says one bag lasts up to 120 days, or 90 days in homes with pets. Reviewed lists a washable HEPA debris filter, while Narwal's page mentions a swappable base station filter it says to replace about every three months. Check which filter applies to your unit before you buy.
Reviewed also notes the robot requires Narwal-specific cleaning solution, so factor in ongoing consumables. Narwal sells an optional Narwal Care plan (1 year, paid) covering mechanical breakdown and battery failure. The US product warranty term was not found, so confirm it with the seller.
Weight and other drawbacks
- Robot and dock weight. Beyond the 11.02 lb (5.0 kg) robot, Reviewed measured the base station at about 17.7 x 14.2 x 20.9 in and 22 lb, and the shipping box at about 44 lb. That is hard to lift alone and needs real floor space.
- Brand-specific solution. You rely on Narwal's own cleaning solution.
- Recurring costs. Dust bags, filters and cleaning solution are ongoing purchases.
- Thin real-world data. We have no long-term durability data and no results for thick rugs or dark flooring.
- Conflicting figures. Suction (30,000 vs 31,000 Pa) and hot-wash temperatures vary by source.
Narwal Flow 2 price and what to check before ordering
Several things change what you receive with the Narwal Flow 2, so read each listing closely. The optional auto refill and drainage setup connects the dock to a water supply and drain, and Narwal says it needs DIY installation, a water supply and drain behind the wall, and an outlet near the dock. Without it, the dock uses a water tank. A listing that mentions plumbing is a different configuration from one that does not.
Consumables are ongoing purchases: the 2.5 L disposable dust bag (rated by Narwal for up to 120 days, or 90 days in homes with pets), filters and Narwal's own cleaning solution. Narwal also sells an optional Narwal Care plan (1 year, paid) covering mechanical breakdown and battery failure. The US product warranty term was not found, so confirm it with the seller.
The dock is heavy, at about 22 lb, so check delivery and where it will sit.
The list below is live. Compare matching configurations and look for the Flow 2 name, not the original Flow. Listings begin from $799.99, and the live list shows them together.
Is the Narwal Flow 2 worth it for your home?
On paper, the Flow 2 suits larger homes with a mix of hard floors, tile and carpet, and people who want the mop washed and dried automatically. Reviewed praises its quiet operation and obstacle recognition, though those are one outlet's observations.
It is a weaker fit for small apartments or tight storage, for anyone who cannot lift a roughly 44 lb box, or for shoppers who want to avoid proprietary consumables. If you are not sure a mopping dock is what you need, browse other robot floor cleaner models and compare by suction, bag size and dock footprint.

Does the Narwal Flow 2 have a HEPA filter?
Sources differ. Reviewed lists a washable HEPA debris filter for the Narwal Flow 2, while Narwal's own product page does not mention HEPA and instead describes a swappable base station filter that it says to replace roughly every three months. Because the two sources do not match, check the exact filter specification with the seller or Narwal before buying if filtration matters to you. Either way, the Flow 2 pairs its 2.5 L disposable dust bag with this filtration in the self-emptying base station, and the bag is rated by Narwal for up to 120 days, or 90 days in pet households.
How loud is the Narwal Flow 2?
Narwal states the Flow 2 operates at under 56.5 dB. That is a manufacturer figure measured under its own conditions, so real-world loudness will depend on the cleaning mode, the floor type and your room. Reviewed described operation as very quiet. Emptying the robot into the base station and washing the mop will produce their own sounds, and the published decibel figure does not say whether it covers those stages.
